A Mother's Selfless Sacrifice

- We get up every morning and gather clothing to make sure everyone is dressed for the weather and we pull together a quick breakfast.
- We pay the bills so there is hot water when bath time arrives.
- We clean up a soapy lake after fun has been had by all, and squeaky clean children are in bed.
- We make sure the fridge is stocked so there isn't ever a complaint about not having something to eat.
- We make favorite meals on birthdays just to make the birthday boy feel special.
- We kiss boo-boos to make them heal faster.
- We send cards to special women in our lives with everyone's name on them, so no one is forgotten.
- We even give up luxuries like manicures and haircuts to make sure that every little toe is covered and everyone has something new for a great day at school or a birthday celebration.

A little bit more of what it’s about:
"Journey to Perfection: Isn't that what life is about?"
Seeking perfection: Is perfection something we come into the world with at birth or just something we waste our lives' pursuing?
I've spent my whole life trying to be perfect... the perfect son, the perfect friend, the perfect student, the perfect athlete, the perfect mate, the perfect man... perfect, perfect, perfect.
While the truth of the matter is... I believe I was born as close to perfect as I'll ever get. My heart was pure, my soul was innocent and my list of sins were zero... that's right 3 for 3... perfect, perfect, perfect...
How can I get much closer to perfection than that? Having said all of that, I honestly don't believe my pursuit has been in vain, I see nothing wrong with trying to better myself, trying to put myself in the (perfect) situation for me, trying to find the perfect mate, the perfect job, the perfect place for me.
While I shall never be perfect... I will never give up on my journey to perfection... I guess I just wish they would judge me the way they judged me when I was born!

Sticks and Stones
Sticks and stones can break your bones but names can never hurt you. That’s what I’ve always been taught… but o’contrair mu-frair. Words are in fact the most dangerous weapon known to man. They start out as simple as nerd, sissy, loser, poser, square… they soon progress to harsher terms such as nigger, faggot, racist, bitch… and on into Republican, Democrat, Fascists, Socialist, Nazi, Terrorist. Words can and have been used to build us up (brilliant, intelligent, beautiful) and to tear us down (moron, retard, fat-ass). So while it seems as if words can’t hurt us physically…
A Letter to my Mom
My mom’s got me started with a push and a shove
Mind racing, broken hearted…evolution of a grudge
Many moments of confusion soothed out with a hug
Where’s daddy… doesn’t matter, mom’s plenty of love
Am i a loser?
I’ve lost plenty of things in my lifetime, for instance… I’ve lost Friendships, I’ve lost Love, I’ve lost Family at times I’ve lost touch with Reality, I’ve lost my Sense of Humor, I’ve lost aFather / Son relationship with my Dad, I’ve even come close to losing my Mind. Does any of this make me a loser? I used to wonder…
